What is Digital History Laboratory?

Digital History Laboratory (in Polish: PHC – ‘Pracownia Historii Cyfrowej’) of the Faculty of History, University of Warsaw, was established in January 2023. It carries out editing projects on different historical eras and different types of sources.

Our activities

In the Digital History Laboratory, we are creating digital editions using the TEI standard and visualising them to support close and distant reading. We are currently preparing two digital editions: 19th-century Polish letters and a 15th-century Latin catalogue of church dignitaries.

Who are we?

We are an interdisciplinary team with diverse backgrounds and specialisations. Together, we work for the development and popularisation of digital humanities.
